Switching Using the MATRIX Mode

You can individually select the video that is output to each bus

(PGM/1, PVW/2, AUX/3 buses).

1.

To select the video that is output to the PGM/1

bus and PVW/2 bus, press the [SW MODE] button

several times to make it light yellow.

In this state, the bus selected by the upper row of cross-point

buttons is “PGM/1,” and the bus selected by the lower row is

“PVW/2.”

2.

Press a cross-point button (upper row) to select

the channel that is output to the PGM/1 bus, and

press a cross-point button (lower row) to select the

channel that is output to the PVW/2 bus.

The channels you pressed are lit yellow, and the video is output to

the PGM/1 bus and PVW/2 bus.

PGM/1 bus:

Channel 1

PVW/2 bus:

Channel 4

3.

To select the video that is output to the AUX/3 bus,

press the [SW MODE] button several times to make

it light green.

The “AUX/3” bus will be the bus selected by the cross-point

buttons (upper row).

4.

Press the cross-point button (upper row) of the

channel number that you want to send to the

AUX/3 bus.

AUX/3 bus:

Channel 1

The channels you pressed are lit yellow, and the video is output to

the AUX/3 bus.

To output the still image or monochrome video (background

color), use the [PinP] button for channel 7 or the [DSK]

button for channel 8 (p. 19).

When the following conditions are satisfied, the channels

are switched with a black fade effect.

When in MATRIX mode

When the TRANSITION TYPE is “MIX” or “WIPE”

When the TRANSITION TIME is other than “0.0sec.”

In MATRIX mode, the [TAKE] button does nothing.

Selecting the Channel for Output to the AUX/3

Bus

Here’s how to select the channel that is output to the AUX/3 bus.

1.

Press the [SW MODE] button several times to make

it light green.

The “AUX/3” bus will be the bus selected by the cross-point

buttons (upper row).

2.

Press the cross-point button (upper row) of the

channel number that you want to send to the

AUX/3 bus.

AUX/3 bus:

Channel 1

The channels you pressed are lit yellow, and the video is output to

the AUX/3 bus.

In PGM-PST mode or DISSOLVE mode, the cross-point

button that you press is lit red. In MATRIX mode, it is lit

yellow.

The video of the AUX/3 bus can be output from the SDI

OUT connector and the HDMI OUT connector. If you

want to output the AUX/3 bus, set the bus assignment of

the respective connector to “AUX/3.” For details, refer to

“Selecting the Video of the Bus to Output” (p. 16).

The channel that is output to the AUX/3 bus can be

selected regardless of the video switching mode (PGM-PST,

DISSOLVE, MATRIX).

To adjust the volume of the audio of the AUX/3 bus, use

[MENU] button

In the multi-view monitor, the “AUX” symbol is shown for the

input channel that is being sent to the AUX/3 bus.
