Preventing Unintended Operation (Panel Lock)

This locks operation of buttons and knobs to prevent unintended

operation of the XS-62S.

1.

Select the [MENU] button

With the cursor positioned at “ENTER,” press the

[VALUE] knob.

The PANEL LOCK menu appears.

3.

Select a target for panel lock, then use the [VALUE]

knob to specify whether panel lock is enabled (ON)

or disabled (OFF).

You can select the following menu items as targets for panel lock.

Press the [VALUE] knob to apply the setting.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.

Press the [MENU] button to quit the menu.

6.

Press and hold the [EXIT] button and the [MENU]

button at the same time (for 3 seconds or longer).

The message “PANEL LOCKED” is displayed, and panel lock is

turned on. The button and controls that you set to enabled (ON) in

step 3 are locked.

7.

To turn off panel lock, again press and hold the

[EXIT] button and the [MENU] button at the same

time (for 3 seconds or longer).

The message “LOCK RELEASED” is displayed, and panel lock is

turned off.

Operating the XS-62S or an External

Device by Remote Control

You can remotely control the XS-62S from a computer, or remotely

control an externally connected camera.

Using the dedicated XS-62S RCS program

You can connect the XS-62S to a computer via a CONTROL (LAN)

connector, and use dedicated program XS-62S RCS to operate the

unit by remote control.
For more information about operation methods, refer to the

owner’s manual included with XS-62S RCS.

“XS-62S RCS” can be downloaded from the Roland website listed

at the bottom of the page.

Using RS-232 or the CONTROL (LAN) connector

You can operate the XS-62S remotely from an external device.

Using RS-422 connector

You can connect a VISCA-compatible video camera to the RS-422

connector and operate the camera remotely from the XS-62S.
