Audio Operations

Adjusting the Volume Balance

This adjusts the volume balance of input and the volume level for

PGM/1 bus.

1.

Set the [MASTER] knob to a position near the 2

o’clock dot (0 dB).

2.

While monitoring the audio via speakers or

headphones, adjust the volume balance for the

respective inputs.

Raise the volume level of audio you want to make more

prominent, for example, an emcee microphone, and lower the

volume level for other audio.
When no audio is input, and for audio that is unused, lower the

volume level to minimum.

AUDIO IN 1–5/6

Use the AUDIO MIXER knobs to adjust the volume level.

SDI IN 1–4, HDMI IN 5–6

Select the [MENU] button

“PGM LEVEL,” then use the [VALUE] knob

to adjust the volume level.

Use the [MASTER] knob to adjust the volume level

for PGM/1 bus.

A level at which indicators “-20” through

“-6” light up is appropriate.

* If the volume level of speaker output is not suitable even after

adjustment so that -20 to -6 light up, adjust the volume for the

speakers or the amplifier. Using the [MASTER] knob to carry out

further adjustment might result in distortion or degradation of

sound quality.

You can output a test tone, which is useful for adjusting the

volume level. Select the [MENU] button

Selecting the Audio of the Bus to Output

You can select the audio bus that is output from the AUDIO OUT

jacks (XLR, RCA) and PHONES jack.

Select the [MENU] button

Use the [VALUE] knob to select the audio of the bus

that you want to output.

Explanation

PGM

This outputs the audio on the PGM/1 bus.

PVW

This outputs the audio on the PVW/2 bus.

AUX

This outputs the audio on the AUX/3 bus.

3.

Press the [VALUE] knob to apply the setting.

4.

Press the [MENU] button to quit the menu.

For the SDI OUT and HDMI OUT connectors, changing the

assigned video bus makes the output audio also change in

tandem with it.
