on the managed server.

Configurations on the managed BX600 Blade
Server

supported by VIOM.

To manage a blade server with VIOM, you must carry out the following pre-
paratory steps:

Configure the management blade or management blades, see section

Supported hardware configurations for the connection
blades

To define dedicated network connections for server blades with networks,
IBP modules are required.

l

At least one IBP module must be installed in fabric 1 or in fabric 2 of the
blade server chassis.

l

To support a Fibre Channel mezzanine card, you must install a 4 GB Bro-
cade switch blade SW4016-D4 (Fibre Channel switch blade for BX600)
