Just in case …
We designed your fax machine to work reliably for years. However, you may occa-
sionally experience a paper jam. Here’s what to do.
If an original document jams
1 Open the control panel by plac-
ing your fingers on its upper left
and right corners and gently tilt-
ing the cover toward you. This
will release the original docu-
ment.
Note: Open the control panel
until it stops.
2 Lift the original document from
your fax machine.
3 Gently close the control panel, making sure both sides are snapped down
securely. Then try the transmission again.
Note: If the original document has become wrinkled or torn, do not re-send
it.
If a printout jams
To clear a printout jammed at the paper cassette:
1 Pull forward on the
paper cassette to slide it out.
2 Remove the jammed paper care-
fully by pulling it out.
To clear a printout jammed inside your fax machine:
1 Open your fax machine’s top
cover by pressing the top cover
release button.
