Press the

START or

ENERGY SAVER key

on the control panel to clear the automatic en-

ergy saving mode. (It takes a while for the copier

to become ready.)

Press

START key to return the power ‘ON’ .

Key in the correct account number.

* If the account number is not clear, ask your

copier manager.

Wait until the copier becomes ready.

Is the copier in the automatic

energy saving mode?

Is the power ‘OFF’ because the

weekly timer is functioned?

Is the account number keyed in?

Is the account number correct?

Is the “Warming up” message

displayed?

Is the power cord plug firmly

inser ted in the outlet?

Is the front cover, the side cover

and the large capacity feeder

(optional) firmly closed?

2. SIMPLE TROUBLESHOOTING

Check the following items, and if the problem still occurs, call service for assistance.

Copier does not start

Countermeasure

Insert the power cord plug firmly.

Close the covers properly.

Display does not change when keys or icons are pressed

Has the message “Add toner”

appeared on the screen?

Is the copy density adjustment

set lighter than is standard?

Countermeasure

Replace the toner cartridge.

Use the manual density keys to set the copy

density properly.
