PRIMARY POWER BOARD RESISTANCE TEST AND
CAPACITOR VOLTAGE TEST
Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel.
Unauthorized repairs performed on this equipment may result in danger to the technician or

DESCRIPTION
This test will determine if the primary power board has any “shorted” or “leaky” power diodes
or Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs). Also it will help to indicate any “shorted” input
filter capacitors.
MATERIALS NEEDED
Analog voltmeter/ohmmeter (multimeter)
