Installing the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on a desktop or shelf
Use this procedure to install a BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on a desktop or shelf.
Prerequisites
• Obtain the four supplied rubber feet for the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 If installing the BSG8ew, insert the power supply retention clip.
The BSG12ew/aw/tw uses a different power connector, which does not require
a retention clip.
2 Attach the four self-adhesive rubber feet to the bottom of the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/
tw by peeling off the paper backing and placing the feet on the unit as indicated
in the following figure.
3 Position the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on a desktop or shelf. Make sure you leave
enough space around the unit for ventilation and access to the cables.
4 Install the power supply next to the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw.
The power supply must be within 1.5 m (5 feet) of the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw
sand within 1.5 m (5 feet) of the AC power outlet.
