Installation
Installing the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on top of another unit
Use this procedure to install a BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on top of a BCM50 or BES50 in a desktop or
rack-mount installation.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 If installing the BSG8ew, insert the power supply retention clip.
The BSG12ew/aw/tw uses a different power connector, which does not require
a retention clip.
2 Place the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw on top of a BCM50 or BES50. If the rubber feet
are installed, remove them. Make sure the feet of the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw are
in the slots on the top of the other unit and in front of the slots as shown in the
following figure.
3 Slide the unit back until it clicks in place on the slots.
