System Default Settings
Select [System] command on the Function Menu’s
SET UP section to select initial defaults for the PRV-
LX1.
Mouse/Keyboard
This DVD recorder supports use of a mouse and
keyboard. The types of mouse and keyboard
supported are as follows:
Mouse: Generic
Keyboard: US type (101-key)
Japan type (106-key)
To set the keyboard type, go to SET UP section

= [System Settings] = [Keyboard].

The [System Settings] command also allows
selection of mouse cursor movement speed,
keyboard key repeat speed, and time zone and date/
time.

Programming the Function keys:
To facilitate operation of the unit, the SET UP
section
= [System] = [F-Key Set] command allows
you to program your keyboard’s 12 function keys
(F1-F12) to perform the equivalent functions of front
panel controls. The function keys can also be
combined with Ctrl and Shift keys to provide
additional programming combinations.
