APPENDIX A

ANNUNCIATIONS AND ALERTS

NOTE:

The Piper Mirage/Matrix Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) supersedes information found in this

document.

CAS MESSAGES

The following messages are configured specifically for the Piper Mirage/Matrix. Red annunciation window

text signifies warnings and yellow, cautions, and white, annunciation advisories. See the EICAS section for
more information on CAS messages. See the POH for recommended pilot actions.

DISPLAY INHIBITS

Inhibits prevent certain CAS messages from being displayed during the following conditions:

• Engine on (on ground) (GROUND)

• Engine off in air (AIROFF)

• Engine start (on ground) (ESI)

• Engine start in air (AIRSTART)

• Takeoff (TOPI)

• Landing (LOPI)

• Engine on in air (AIRON)

• Engine off (on ground) (ESDI)

Alerts affected by an inhibit are not displayed while the inhibit is enabled. If an alert is displayed prior to

the activation of an inhibit affecting it, the alert continues to be displayed normally until the condition causing
the alert ceases to exist.

If two alert levels of the same message are active simultaneously (e.g., DOOR AJAR warning and DOOR

AJAR advisory) only the higher alert level is displayed.

If a GEA or GIA fails, all CAS messages depending on sensors associated with that LRU are automatically

inhibited. Inhibits cannot be activated by invalid sensor data.

WARNING MESSAGES

A repeating chime is heard until the warning is acknowledged with the Master Warning button.
