Modifications
Modifications not expressly approved by Aastra could void the
user's authority to operate the equipment.
Intrinsic safety
The DT412, DT422 and DT432 phones are IP64 classified, which
means that they are robust, dust-proof and waterproof, designed
for people working in tough environments.
Preparing for use
Before using your phone the first time you have to charge and
connect the battery, see section “ Installation ” on page 145.
Note: Place the phone in the charger and charge it for at
least one hour before using it the first time.
Battery handling
The Lithium Ion battery contains environmental polluting material. If
damaged, return it to a collecting point.
Note: Only use the charger that is delivered with your
phone to charge the battery.
Cleaning
Clean the phone only with a soft, water dampened cloth. Using
soap or any other cleaning materials may discolor or damage the
phone. Clean the battery contacts using ethanol or isopropyl
alcohol.
Treatment
Although the phones are resistant to water spray, dust and soil, you
should always handle it with care. Do not expose the phone to
direct sunlight for long periods and keep it away from excessive
heat and moisture.
