Failure During Self-
Diagnostics Tests
If the self diagnostics routine fails, the Diagnostics tab will show a
red error message with the description: The Luminex 100 analyzer
reported a failed self-diagnostics test. The background to this
message will be yellow if the routine failed. Double click the yellow
row to display a detailed device error window. This window shows
specific details about which test failed the routine.
If the following functions fail, power off the instrument and the PC.
Restart the system and repeat the Self Diagnostics test.
•
Flash memory test
•
Microcontroller RAM test
•
Nonvolatile memory test
•
DSP program CRC test
•
DSP capture test
•
High voltage module
•
Channel backgrounds test
•
Syringe pump test
Call Customer Support if the functions fail again:
If the pressurization test fails, ensure that the cap to the sheath
container is tightened and that the sheath fluid container lines are
attached to the appropriate connectors on the analyzer. Check for air
or sheath fluid leaks at all connections. Repeat the self diagnostics
test.
If the actuator test fails, ensure that the XYP instrument Sample
Probe is aligned properly and that the sampling probe is not rubbing
against the sample alignment guide as it moves down. Repeat the
self-diagnostics test. If the test fails a second time, remove the
Sample Probe. Repeat the self-diagnostics test and contact Customer
Support.
If the debubbler valve test or the backflush valve test fails, check
the sheath pressure readings on the system. Power the instruments
and the PC off and then restart the system. Repeat the self-
diagnostics test.
