1. Overview
EtherCAT®, an open field network, expends IEEE802.3 Ethernet Standards, and enables the
high-speed and high-accuracy global open network.
You can connect XSEL-R/S/RX/SX/RXD/SXD controllers to EtherCAT® to build a system with
minimum wiring.
Cauion � Synchronizing control can not be accomplished because this product does
not support the EtherCAT Distribution Clock functionality.
� Only daisy chain network topology is supported.
� XSEL Controller is treated as an I/O device on EtherCAT®.
� For further information on EtherCAT®, refer to the Operation Manuals for the
master unit and the programmable controller (PLC) to be mounted.
� Use this operation manual along with operation manual of each controller.
� Usage other than the ones described in this operation manual is prohibited.�
