The IntraSwitch is set to load software locally
from its flash memory. This occurs whenever
the unit is powered on or reset.
Loading Software Remotely
To set the IntraSwitch to (download its software) over the
network from a remote server:
1 Open the Bootstrap Configuration Menu by
typing
b in the Configuration Menu.
2 Type s in the Bootstrap Configuration Menu,
select option Set Boot Server IP Address .
3 Type the IP address at the prompt of the
remote boot server which contains the unit’s
software image file, then press
Return .
4 Type r to set the Load Mode to Remote .
5 Type f to select the option Set File Name .
6 Type the software’s file name and network
path at the prompt.
7 Press Return .
The unit is set to download its software
remotely from the network. This will occur
the next time the unit is powered on or reset.
