2 Select the port to be enabled or disabled by
typing
s, entering the port’s number, and
pressing Return .
3 Type e to toggle the port’s connection to
enabled or disabled , as desired.
The port’s status is changed. The new status
is displayed at the top of the screen next to
Port Status:

Configuring Duplex Mode
Full duplex mode allows a port to transmit and receive at
the same time.

Important! To use full duplex mode, the
device to which the port is connected must sup-
port and be configured for full duplex mode.

Note: To configure a port for duplex mode,
first disable auto-negotiation, as described in
the next section.
1 Open the Port Management Menu by typing
p on the Configuration Menu.
2 Select the port to be configured for full
duplex mode by typing
s, entering the port’s
number, and pressing Return .
3 Type d to toggle the port’s duplex mode half to
full, or full to half.
The port’s mode is changed and is displayed
at the top of the screen next to
Link Status .
