In the tree, select the local system then select the desired remote system (RCU).

In the right-side list, select and right-click the paths you want to delete then click Delete Path.
A confirmation message appears.

6.

Click OK.

7.

Review your selections in the Preview list. To modify, right-click an item and select Modify. To
delete in item, right-click and select Delete.

8.

When satisfied, click Apply. This saves the configuration to the Continuous Access Synchronous
Z system.

RCU maintenance

Change minimum paths, round trip time, other RCU options

You can change the options that affect how the system runs your copy operations. These are:

Number of minimum paths for a pair

Wait time until data transfer is complete (MIH RIO)

FREEZE Option, which defines that the support for the CGROUP (FREEZE/ RUN) PPRC TSO
command is enable or disable.

Round trip time, which affects update and initial copy priorities

Procedure 15 To change the RCU options

1.

On the menu bar, click Actions > Remote Copy > Continuous Access Synchronous for Mainframe
> RCU Operation. The RCU Operation window opens.

2.

Change to Modify mode by clicking the

icon.

3.

Select MCU&RCU in the Display box.

4.

Right-click the desired RCU in the list and click RCU Operation/Change RCU Option.

5.

In the RCU Option dialog box, change the options as desired. Refer to steps related to the
RCU Option dialog box in the procedure,

“Configure disk arrays and define logical paths”

(page 46)

Add, delete SSIDs for an RCU

Before adding an SSID (storage system identifier), make sure that the data path is properly installed.
You can add three SSIDs to each remote system. Before deleting an SSID, make sure that the
remaining SSIDs are still valid, because the connection between the MCU and RCU may be lost.

Procedure 16 To add SSIDs

1.

On the menu bar, click Actions > Remote Copy > Continuous Access Synchronous for Mainframe
> RCU Operation. The RCU Operation window opens.

2.

Change to Modify mode by clicking the

icon.

3.

In the Display box, click the MCU&RCU.

4.

In the tree, click the appropriate CU, then click the desired RCU.

5.

In the list area, right-click the Path and then click Add SSID. The Add SSID dialog box displays.

6.

Enter the new SSID(s).

7.

Click Set then Apply.

Procedure 17 To delete SSIDs

1.

On the menu bar, click Actions, Remote Copy,Continuous Access Synchronous Z, and then
RCU Operation. The RCU Operation window opens.

2.

In the Display box, click the MCU&RCU.

3.

In the tree, click the appropriate CU, then click the desired RCU.
