drive replacement on
working physical drives
rather than failed drives. 1. Power down the
MSA500 system.
2. Reinstall the working
drives.
3. Replace the failed
drives.
4. Power up the MSA500
system.
110 VOLUME #<n>
EXPANSION
DISABLED Informational The controller disabled
volume expansion
operation on the
configured volume. This
condition can result from
the following:
• An ongoing rebuild
operation
• Another expansion
operation
• Disabled cache
memory caused by
a low battery
The expansion resumes
after the condition has
been cleared.
Wait for the current
operation to finish.
If the condition does not
change, replace the cache
module.
111 VOLUME #<n>
INITIALIZING
PARITY Informational The array controller is
calculating and storing
parity information for the
configured volume and
performance may be
lower until this operation
