Functions Available in Movie Recording

The exposure compensation and White balance settings in shooting menu (

A61) are also

applied with movie recording.

When macro mode is enabled, movies of subjects closer to the camera can be recorded. Confirm

settings before starting movie recording.

The self-timer (

A53) can be used. If the self-timer is set and the b (e movie-record) button is

pressed, the camera starts movie recording after 10 or 2 seconds.

The flash does not fire.

Press the

d button before starting to record the movie to display the e (movie) menu icon

and select movie menu settings (

A86).

Recording HS (High Speed) Movies

When Movie options (

A86) in movie menu is set to k HS 240/8×, h HS 480/4×, i HS

720/2× or j HS 1080/0.5×, movies that can be played back in slow motion or fast motion can
be recorded.
