Now use the "Æ+" button to position the cursor (the flashing line under a number or letter) under FIXT 01 –
24. You now must choose the fixture number that you want this new fixture to be or choose the number of
fixture you want to modify. [If you are just going to modify an existing fixture
not create an entirely new fixture jump to page
33 and the section called “Modifying a fixture”]……Okay, continuing on for you pioneers with an entirely new
unheard of fixture……….Just use the numbered keypad to choose the fixture number; for example 05. Once
you have done this, use the "-Å" and "Æ+"
buttons to move the cursor to the right.
You now must tell the CP-20 how many channels this fixture has. Use the numbered keypad to enter in the
correct value. [Remember whole numbers only. No letters or fractions. All “smarty pants” will be forced to miss
the fabulous dinner that catering are just about to provide. Let me guess Chicken or Lasagna?].
Once you have chosen the number of channels the fixture has, press Enter. The board will display the word
DONE before returning to the “number of chnls” display.
Press the number 2 from the keypad, and the display screen changes to :
DIMMER CHANNEL
FIXT 05 - NONE
Using the "Æ+" button, move the cursor over to NONE and type in the correct channel number for the
dimmer. Obviously if it doesn’t have a dimmer, then leave the entry as NONE. When finished, just press Enter
and the word DONE will appear to confirm that the change has been done. The display will then return to the
“dimmer channel” display.
Press the number 3 from the keypad and the display screen changes to :
PAN CHANNEL

Again using the "Æ+" button move the cursor over to the number 17. [There is always the possibility that the
number to the right of the fixture number (05) is not 17! It doesn’t have to be. It could be anything from 1 to
24].With the numerical keypad put in the correct channel for the Pan and then press Enter. Once more, the
word DONE will appear to confirm the change and the display will then return to the “pan channel” display.
Press the number 4 from the keypad and the display screen changes to :
PANFINE CHANNEL
FIXT 05 - NONE
If the fixture has two channels for Pan, then this is for the fine channel. Using the "Æ+" button move the
cursor over to NONE and using the numerical keypad enter in the correct channel number for Pan Fine, then
press Enter. The word DONE will appear to confirm the change.
