Now you can also use the Direct Access keys if you don’t want to use the keypad. First just choose the page of
cues you want to enter the cue into by pressing cue and holding the button for 2 to 3 seconds. The display will
read

SELECT CUE PAGE

You now have a choice of 24 pages. Let’s use page 3, so press the number 3 button. The display will now read

SELECT CUE PAGE
CUE PAGE 3

Now press enter cue, then any one of the 24 buttons (for example button number 6), then press enter again.
The result will be, you will get the following display

ENTER CUE 054
XFADE 00.0 SEC.

Of course you can enter in any fade time before you press the enter button for the second time.

Recalling Cues

Once cues have been stored in memory they can be directly recalled by pressing "Cue". The display will read:

SELECT CUE _

Select the desired cue number (1 - 960) using either the numerical keypad or the Direct Access keypad. Once
you have pressed the desired cue number just press "Go" to call the cue. The next consecutive cue number will
automatically be displayed. This will allow you to press "Go" again without having to select the next cue number
in sequence. You can also use the "-Å" and "Æ+" key to increment or decrement the next cue number. You
can of course jump to any cue using the numerical keypad or the direct access buttons.

NOTE: In the CP20 you have the ability to choose what features of a fixture will cross-fade or snap in a cue.
We call cross-fade features continuous type controls. Common continuous type controls are dimming, pan and
tilt. With these features if they are in a cue and the cue has a cross-fade time then those features will cross-fade
gently from one location to another.

Other features can be non-continuous type controls, for example, color and gobos. These can be made to snap
to their new position at the end of the cross-fade or snap to their new position before the cross-fade. At anytime
you can reprogram each feature to cross-fade, snap before or snap after fade to suit your application. Consult
the "System Programming" chapter in this manual on how to do this.
