Condensación de humedad
Si desplaza la videocámara directamente de un
lugar frío a otro cálido, es posible que se
condense humedad en su interior, en la
superficie de la cinta o en el objetivo. Si esto
ocurre, la cinta puede adherirse al tambor del
cabezal y dañarse, o bien la videocámara puede
no funcionar correctamente. Para evitar posibles
daños bajo estas circunstancias, la videocámara
está equipada con sensores de humedad. No
obstante, tome las siguientes precauciones.
Interior de la videocámara
Si los indicadores { y 6 parpadean en el visor
electrónico significa que se ha condensado
humedad en el interior de la videocámara. Si
esto ocurre, ninguna función se activará, excepto
la extracción de videocassettes.
Extraiga el videocassette, apague la
videocámara y déjela con el compartimiento
de videocassettes abierto durante 1 hora
aproximadamente.
Si el indicador { no se ilumina al activar la
alimentación, es posible volver a utilizar la
videocámara.
Superficie de la cinta
Si existe humedad en la superficie de la cinta, al
insertar un videocassette y pulsar un botón de
transporte de cinta (·PLAY, etc.), el indicador

parpadea en el visor electrónico. Si esto
ocurre, ninguna función se activará, excepto la
extracción de videocassettes.
Extraiga el videocassette y déjelo durante 1
hora aproximadamente.
Si el indicador 6 no se ilumina al insertar el
videocassette y pulsar un botón de transporte de
cinta, es posible volver a utilizar la videocámara.
Moisture Condensation
If the camcorder is brought directly from a cold
place to a warm place, moisture may condense
inside the camcorder, on the surface of the tape,
or on the lens. If this happens, the tape may stick
to the head drum and be damaged or the
camcorder may not operate correctly. To prevent
possible damage under these circumstances, the
camcorder is furnished with moisture sensors.
However, take the following precautions.
Inside the Camcorder
When { and 6 indicators flash in the
viewfinder, moisture has condensed inside the
camcorder. If this happens, none of the functions
except cassette ejection will work.
Eject the cassette, turn off the camcorder, and
leave it with the cassette compartment open
for about 1 hour.
If the { indicator does not light up when you
turn on the power, you can use the camcorder
again.

On the Surface of the Tape
If there is moisture on the surface of the tape,
when you insert cassette and press a tape
transport button (·PLAY, etc.), the 6 indicator
flashes in the viewfinder. If this happens, none
of the functions except cassette ejection will
work.
Eject the cassette and leave it for about 1
hour.
If the 6 indicator does not light up when you
insert the cassette and press a tape transport
button, you can use the camcorder again.
