Symptom

Checkpoints

Recording

Recorded sound is distorted.
There is a noise at the beginning
of sound.

• Set the microphone sensitivity to “LOW” or keep the microphone distance

farther away from the recording source. (

If the sound is still distorted, set the Low Cut filter setting to ON (

➜ page 21),

set the recording level adjustment to Manual and adjust the recording level
before recording. (

➜ page 22)

Recorded sounds contain noise
that make it difficult to hear
sounds.

• Move a mobile telephone away from this unit when you use the two in the same area.

• Set the “LOW CUT FILTER” to “ON”. Noise is reduced and listening may

become easier. (

• Perform test recording switching the recording mode (

➜ page 20) or

microphone sensitivity

➜ page 21) and set the most appropriate recording

environment.

Recorded sound differs from the
actual sound.

• Is Recording EQ (

➜ page 24) or “LOW CUT FILTER” (➜ page 21) set?

Recorded sound is too loud or
too low.

• Is the recording level adjustment set to manual? (

➜ page 22) If so, set the

proper recording level (

➜ page 23) or set the recording level adjustment

setting to AUTO.

• Switch the microphone sensitivity. (

The level meter does not move
during recording. The recorded
file produces no sound.

• Is the recording level adjustment set to “MANUAL” and is the recording level

set to “0”? Adjust the recording level.

Playing

No sound from the speaker.
