5 Commissioning
Definition

Danger of injury to fingers.
S Ensure that in the positioning range of
the pressurized HMP−...:
ć nobody can place his/her hand in the
path of the guide tube.
ć no objects are in the path of the piston
rod.
Please note
The actuators will be considerably accelerated.
S Ensure that the linear module is pressurized only in the park position when
clamping is released. Movement against a non−pressurized chamber will
create an acceleration which can damage the linear module.
The actuators may perform sudden unexpected movements.
S Avoid exceeding the static holding force (see Technical Specifications).
The clamped guide tube may move approx. 1 ... 2 mm due to manufacturing
tolerances.
S Comply with the commissioning instructions for the linear module HMP−... .
Starting the linear module:
S Exhaust the linear module.
1. Push the guide tube by hand into the defined parking position (e. g. the end
position when retracted). You must press the manual override of the clamping
unit at the same.
2. First pressurize the compressed air connection for the parking position on the
linear module, and then on the clamping unit.
