Installing

a

drive

carrier

module

To

install

a

drive

carrier

module,

do

the

following:

CAUTION:

Ensure

that

all

drive

carriers

are

fully

engaged

in

the

enclosure

by

pushing

each

one

firmly

into

its

slot.

Note:

A

drive

carrier

module

cannot

be

installed

if

the

anti-tamper

lock

has

been

activated

outside

the

enclosure.

anti-tamper

on

page

for

instructions

on

de-activating

the

lock.

1.

Observe

all

safety

and

ESD

precautions

in

the

Safety

and

Warranty

Guide.

2.

Release

the

drive

carrier

handle

by

depressing

the

latch

in

the

handle.

3.

Insert

the

drive

carrier

module

into

the

drive

bay.

Note:

Ensure

that

the

carrier

is

oriented

so

that

the

drive

is

at

the

top

of

the

carrier

and

the

handle

opens

from

the

left,

as

shown

in

the

above

figure.

4.

Carefully

slide

the

drive

carrier

module

all

the

way

into

the

enclosure.
