down
on
the
rear
tab
of
the
load
plate
to
swing
the
front
of
the
load
plate
up
slightly.
Fully
open
the
load
plate.

If
the
protective
cover
is
attached
to
the
load
plate,
remove
it
and
store
it
for
future
use.
10.
Remove
the
new
processor
from
its
protective
shipping
packaging.
11.
Set
the
processor
in
the
socket
with
the
processor
cut-outs
matching
the
processor
socket
notches.
12.
Close
the
load
plate.
13.
Close
the
socket
lever.
Push
downward
on
the
socket
lever
while
pushing
it
toward
the
center
of
the
processor
socket
to
engage
it
under
the
hook.
14.
Prepare
the
passive
heatsink
for
installation.
The
heatsink
has
thermal
interface
material
(TIM)
located
on
the
bottom
of
it.
Use
caution
when
handling
the
heatsink
so
as
not
to
damage
the
TIM.
15.
Set
the
heatsink
over
the
processor,
lining
up
the
four
captive
screws
with
the
four
posts
surrounding
the
processor.
Loosely
screw
in
the
captive
screws
on
the
heatsink
corners
in
the
order
shown
in
the
following
figure.
