an

add-in

board

To

install

an

add-in

board,

complete

the

following

steps:

Note:

You

may

want

to

install

an

operating

system

before

installing

any

add-in

boards.

CAUTION:

Add-in

boards

can

be

extremely

sensitive

to

ESD

and

always

require

careful

handling.

After

removing

the

board

from

its

protective

wrapper,

place

it

component

side

up

on

a

grounded,

static-free

surface

or

conductive

foam

pad,

if

available.

Do

not

slide

the

add-in

board

over

any

surface.

Attention:

Do

not

overload

the

server

board

by

installing

add-in

boards

that

draw

excessive

current.

Observe

all

and

ESD

precautions

in

the

Safety

and

Warranty

Guide.

2.

Turn

off

all

peripheral

devices

connected

to

the

storage

array.

3.

Turn

off

the

storage

array.

4.

Disconnect

the

AC

power
