RECORDING

FUNCTIONS

NIGHT SCENE/RED-EYE (

)

Use this mode when photographing people against a night background.

The flash fires first while the shutter speed is reduced to capture the

surrounding lighting conditions. The red-eye phenomenon is minimized by the

pre-flash.

Caution

The shutter speed is reduced in low-light situations when the
flash mode is set to Flash Off

, Night View

or Night Scene

+ Red-eye

. It is recommended using a tripod to avoid

camera shake. The orange lamp blinks to warn the camera shake
in low-light situations, but you can still take a picture. However a
moving object will be blurred when shot.

The Macro mode is recommended when shooting a subject at distances of
10 cm ~ 50 cm/4 in ~ 1.6 ft.
