When the camera does not work properly

Cause

Remedy

The camera power is off.

Batteries are inserted the wrong way.

The battery power has run out.

Battery performance has
dropped temporarily due to
cold.

The camera turned off
automatically.

The camera is connected
to a PC.

Dew condensation has
formed inside the camera.

When the flash does not emit light

Cause

Remedy

See

The subject is too bright.

The Sequence mode, the
Movie mode, or the
Panorama mode is set.

Flash has not finished
charging.

When the monitor is not clearly visible

Cause

Remedy

See

The monitor brightness is set improperly.

You are watching the
monitor under sunlight.

Open the lens barrier to turn the
camera on.

Remove and insert the batteries correctly.

Replace the batteries with new ones.

Warm the batteries by putting
them in your pocket before
retrying operation.

Close the lens barrier and then
open it again.

Camera operation is not possible while
the camera is connected to a PC.

Let the camera dry without turning it
on. Once it is completely dry, turn it on.

If you want to use the flash, set the
flash mode to the Fill in mode.

Flash does not fire in the
Sequence mode, the Movie
mode, or the Panorama mode.

Wait until the orange lamp stops
blinking to take a picture.

Adjust the brightness.

Shade the sunlight with your
hand, etc.
