IMAGE QUALITY

Set the image quality before shooting.

Note

Image quality settings

* The term “pixel” stands for “picture element”. The image is

comprised of up to 2 million pixels.

• Select this mode if you wish to print a

high-quality or large-size print of the
image or if you want to retouch it on a
PC.

• Excellent image quality, but the number

of recordable images is reduced. It takes
a longer time to record the image.

× 1208 pixels*)

• This mode is ideal when you need to

print out images after viewing them on
your PC screen.

• Standard image quality. This is the default

image quality setting.

× 1200 pixels*)

• Select this mode when you want to

attach the image to e-mail; simply view it
on your PC screen.

• Lesser image quality, but the number of

recordable images is increased.
SQ1 (1024

× 768 pixels*)

SQ2 (640

× 480 pixels*)

Open the lens barrier.

The camera turns on in the Record
mode.
