3.4.3 The footswitch
Function
The footswitch performs the same task as the
RUN/STOP and RUN/ENABLE keys (activating/
deactivating motorized sectioning / trimming).
In addition, the footswitch can be used to acti-
vate the emergency stop function.
Models with footswitch:
All instruments with sectioning motor.
Important note:
In all instrument models that are deliv-
ered with footswitch, the footswitch
must be installed! - Otherwise the in-
struments are not functional.
After transport, observe a waiting pe-
riod of at least 4 hours before turning
the instrument on! - See also safety in-
structions in chapter 2.3.1 ‘Transport’.
Have you observed all safety instruc-
tions in chapters 2.3.2 ‘Site require-
ments’ and 2.3.3 ‘Electrical connec-
tions’?
If not:
--> Please read chapters 2.3.2 and
2.3.3!
• Insert mains plug into wall outlet.
• Continue with chapter 5.1 ‘Setting up the in-
strument’.

Connecting the footswitch
• Insert footswitch into port (1) and secure.
