7.6.2 Inserting the disposable blade holder with disposable blade
To insert the disposable blade holder with disposable blade proceed as
described below.
Tools required:
• Allen key (size 4).
• Allen key (size 2.5).
Proceed as follows:
1. Use the knee lever to move the sledge to the left-side reversal point.
For further information, refer to chapters 3.4.2 and 6.4.9.
2. Comply with the safety instructions provided in chapter 7.6.
3. Open the window. For further information, refer to chapter 3.4.3.
4. Remove screws (1) and remove pressure plate (2).
5. Place disposable blade holder (3) on support plate (4).
6. Place pressure plate (2) on disposable blade holder (3).
7. Insert screws (1) and tighten.
8. Loosen screws (3a) of the disposable blade holder (3).
9. Insert disposable blade (5). The disposable blade (5) is in correct
position, when the entire blade back (5) fits close to the limit stop of
the disposable blade holder (3).
10. Tighten screws (3a) of the disposable blade holder (3).
11. Loosen screws (1).
8. Adjust the disposable blade holder (3) using the positioning tool (6).
Attach the positioning tool (6) to the knife holder (7) as shown. The two
plastic pegs (6a) press the disposable blade holder (3) into the correct
position.
9. Tighten screws (1).
10. Adjust the knife angle. For further information, refer to chapter 7.6.3.
7. Operating the Leica CM3600 XP
