Operating the Leica CM3600 XP

To ensure proper operation of the Leica CM3600 XP as well
as use of the specimen stages and the specimen blocks
themselves, we strongly recommend to attend a Leica
application training.

7.1

Check list

The checklist below provides an overview on how to successfully
operate the Leica CM3600 XP.

We recommend that you make a copy of this checklist and
attach it to an instrument surface where it is clearly visible
to ensure that all points of the list are observed.

1. Switch the instrument on.

2. Start the software.

3. Select desired chamber temperature for sectioning

For further information, refer to chapter 7.4.

4. Insert the specimen stage.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.5.

5. Insert the knife.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.6.

6. Set the trimming parameters.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.7.

7. Change the knife.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.6.

8. Set the sectioning parameters.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.8.

9. Dehydrate the section.

For further information, refer to chapter 7.9.
