Trouble shooting

Flattened sections curl up when anti-
roll plate is picked up

Sections tear

Inconsistent or insufficient specimen
feed

Specimen disc cannot be removed

Cryostat inoperational; no display
indication

No or insufficient refrigeration

Static electricity or air currents.

Anti-roll plate too warm.

Temperature too low for the tissue
to be cut.

Blunt part, dirt, dust, frost or rust
on the blade.
