When converted to TW, TestWorks 4 methods that include either of these features require modification to
perform as originally designed. To do this, you must modify the associated station configuration file (.cfg)
with MTS FlexTest software.

Important:

Carefully consider desired system behavior and the effects of the changes you wish to make before
modifying the station configuration. Modifying station configurations should be performed only by
advanced users with proper training or MTS personnel.

Resolving calculated channel errors

If the TestWorks 4 method originally included a calculated channel, the converted TW test will contain a
validation error. The validation error appears on the Resource tab in the Controller Resource Type column,
next to the signal that was originally calculated in the TestWorks 4 method.

To resolve this error and modify the TW test to perform like the original TestWorks 4 test, consider the
following:

Note:

Creating calculated signals with MTS FlexTest software requires an MTS 793.03 Calculations with
Output license.

You must add the calculated signal to the station configuration file using the Station Builder application
and assign the calculation with the Station Manager application.

Note:

Assigning calculations to signals with Station Manager requires a Configuration access level.

After you have changed the station configuration, you must change the associated signals on the
Resource tab in the Controller Resource Type to Signal. Then you must map the Signal to the calculated
signal you added to the station configuration in the Controller Resource list.
