7.5.3 Preseason/Annual Service

CAUTION

• Review the operator’s manual to refresh your memory on safety and operating recommendations.

• Review all safety signs and other decals on the header and note hazard areas.

• Be sure all shields and guards are properly installed and secured.

Never alter or remove

safety equipment.

• Be sure you understand and have practiced safe use of all controls. Know the capacity and the

operating characteristics of the machine.

• Check the first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Know where they are and how to use them.

Perform the following at the beginning of each operating season:

• Lubricate machine completely. Refer to Section

7.5.5 Lubrication and Servicing, page 115

• Perform all annual maintenance. Refer to Section
