OPERATING THE HEADER
5. Inspect roll gap at both ends of the rolls. Gap (B)
should be 1 in. (25.4 mm). This is the factory setting.
IMPORTANT
Roll timing is critical when the roll gap is
decreased because the bars may contact each
other if the timing is wrong.
6. See Section 6.4 Roll Timing, page 71 for instructions
on checking the timing.

7. Reinstall the conditioner shield (B) and secure it with
nuts (A).
8. Close the driveshield. See Section 5.4 Driveshields,
page 28 .

DANGER
Stop engine and remove key from ignition before
leaving operator’s seat for any reason. A child or
even a pet could engage an idling machine.
1. Lower header fully.
2. Stop the engine and remove the key.
3. Open the LH driveshield. See Section 5.4 Driveshields,
page 28 .
