About the 13.56 MHz RFID EtherNet/IP Interface Block

The EtherNet/IP Interface Block is a 24V DC I/O module that communicates
via EtherNet/IP. It features up to two RFID interface ports and two
configurable points. The sealed IP65, IP67, and IP69K housing of these
modules requires no enclosure. Note that environmental requirements other
than IP65, IP67, and IP69K may require an additional appropriate enclosure.
I/O connectors are sealed M12 style.

EtherNet/IP networks use advanced network technology, for example,
producer/consumer communication, to increase network functionality and
throughput.

Functional Earth grounds the I/O block’s EtherNet/IP communication circuitry which is designed to

mitigate the effect of noise on the network. Refer to EtherNet/IP Connectors on page 10 for
connections.
