Overcurrent Protection
Overcurrent protection is provided by 
separate +5V (F102) and +12V (F103) PCB 
mounted fuses rated at T1.6A. A spare 
fuse (F101) is also provided on the PCB.
If +5V and +12V are applied 
simultaneously, the ESRS selects 
the +12V input.
The ESRS is intended to take its 
power from the encoder supply of 
the target equipment. However, the 
user should establish that this 
supply has sufficient capacity to 
provide the current indicated above. 
If necessary, an additional power 
supply is required – see Chapter 2: 
Installation.
