Import Tags with the Data
Retrieval Tool The Data Retrieval Tool can export all the required tag and alarm settings for
each object used in FactoryTalk View SE. The following three files are
generated for each processor:
• HMITag-[shortcut name].csv
• Alarms-[shortcut name].csv
• HMIDerivedTags-[shortcut name].csv
Where [shortcut name] is the shortcut created in the Communication Setup.
1. Under Tools select Tag Import and Export Wizard.
The Tag Import and Export Wizard dialog box opens.
2. Verify that Import FactoryTalk View tag CSV files is selected and click
Next.
3. Verify that Site Edition is selected for the Project type and click Next.
