4 Replacement of piston seal 140
• To remove damaged piston seals 140 the special tool 144 is
used. This is screwed into the seal 140, which can then be
pulled out (see Figure 27 A).
When the special tool 144 is screwed into the piston seal 140
the latter is completely destroyed!
• To install a new piston seal 140 the special tool 145 is used.
• First the new seal is inserted firmly in the recess of tool 145
by hand (see Figure 27 B). The seal spring must be located
on the outside.
• The tool 145 together with the seal is then inserted in the
pump head 27/54 and the seal pressed into the pump head
recess with the aid of tool 144 (see Figure 27 C).
