Prepare Fan(s)
Note: Kit 411-014A for model YP2425F includes two fan
coolers. Perform the cooler installation for each fan.
Open Fan Screen
Refer to Figure 28 (fan exit port orientation varies by planter
model and fan location/function)
28. Remove and save the sheet metal screws
securing the cap to the screen .
29. Remove and save the screen cap .
Identify Fan Type
Cooler installation steps are different for 6-inch and
8-inch fans.
Refer to Figure 29
6-Inch Fan
6-inch fans have 6 screws securing the cage (and any
sensor bracket) to the fan housing. 6-inch fans take
cooler bundles:
401-143L 6IN HYD FAN COOLER 7/8MJIC or
401-833L 6IN HYD FAN COOLER ASSY
For a 6-inch fan, continue at “6in: Relocate Sensor
Bracket” on page 32.
8-Inch Fan
8-inch fans have 4 screws securing the cage (and any
sensor bracket) to the fan housing. 8-inch fans take
cooler bundles:
401-924L 8IN FAN COOLER ASSY 3/4MJIC or
401-926L 8IN FAN COOLER ASSY 7/8MJIC
For an 8-inch fan, continue at “Install 8-Inch Fan
Cooler” on page 36.
