23 Operating Instructions
Changing the Seed Box or Bean
Hopper
1. Shut off fan before changing boxes.
2. Park the planter on level ground with enough
room to maneuver a tractor with front-end
loader around it.
3. Place tractor in park, shut off engine and re-
move the key.
Refer to Figure 11
4. Raise the base of the ladder and slide ladder
forward into storage position. Make sure lock
pin snaps in place.

5. Pull the handles out on both sides of the plat-
form and lower platform.
Refer to Figure 13
6. On planters with the bean hopper, pull the pin
(1) holding the swing away platform in place
and rotate platform out of the way.
7. Push in the slide gate to shut off seed flow.
