DANGER

Some chemicals will cause serious burns, lung damage
and death. Avoid contact with skin or eyes. Wear prop-
er protective equipment as required by chemical man-
ufacturer. Avoid prolonged breathing of chemical
fumes. Wear respirator as required by chemical manu-
facturer. Seek medical assistance immediately if acci-
dent occurs. Know what to do in case of an accident.

Hypro Pump
The liquid fertilizer option uses a Hypro medium
pressure pump. For pump operation and pump
maintenance refer to the Hypro manual. The
Hypro manual is supplied in the liquid fertilizer op-
tion package.

Refer to Figure 59

1.

Refer to “Fertilizer Rate Charts,” page 50.
Find your desired application rate and note
sprocket range required for your desired ap-
plication rate.

2.

Set sprocket range. Check the number of
teeth on the pump driving sprocket. Change
as needed.

NOTE: Great Plains recommends checking with
your local Agronomist as soil conditions vary. Soil
conditions in your area may need lesser or more
amounts of fertilizer than represented in these
charts. Do not exceed 12 gallons per acre in any
case.

NOTE: The fertilizer pump drive is supplied by the
seed meter drive. Because of this it is important to
check the seed rate settings carefully and to reset
the pump drive when changing seeding rates.
