Mount Pressure Gauge

For a standard configuration, using the supplied
compressor pre-installed on the planter, continue at
Install Cab Components” on page 28.

Leaky Connect Risk:
When cutting hose, use a sharp knife or scissor-type tubing
cutter. Make the cuts smooth and perpendicular to the length
of the hose. Avoid angled and ragged cuts.

Refer to Figure 25
Find a location for the pressure gauge

that is visible

from the tractor cab, but not too far from the routing path
of the air hose from the pump to the solenoid valves on
the planter.

Connect Compressor Air Lines

For a standard configuration, using the supplied
compressor pre-installed on the planter, continue at
Install Cab Components” on page 28.

Refer to Figure 26 (which depicts the gauge on the tractor side
of the hitch connection)
1.

Cut hoses to meet at the hitch. Terminate with
mating connectors

.

2.

Insert a tee

in the line near the gauge. Route

hose from tee to gauge.

3.

Unless the compressor is mounted inside the tractor
cab, route a hose

from the inlet into the cab.

Breather Fouling Risk:
Avoid the use of sealant tape on NPT connections. Use liquid
sealant, and avoid application at thread starts. Tape fragments
and uncontained sealant can foul breather plugs, resulting in
seed meters failing to operate.
