Install Satellite Receiver

If the augmented coordinate receiver is already installed,
continue at “Install Cab Components”. Otherwise,
consult the instructions supplied with the primary and
augmentation receiver(s).

The primary, and any augmentation receiver may need to
be configured or programmed via an office computer
prior to mechanical installation.

Receivers are typically mounted on the rear center of the
tractor cab roof. Route cables into the tractor cab.

Note: Mounting a receiver on the planter implement is not

presently recommended

a

by Great Plains. Planter

mounting is strongly discouraged if the same
receiver is also used for tractor auto-steer.

Install Air Inlet Filter

Refer to Figure 28
4.

Verify that the filter housing

has a filter element

installed. See item

in Figure 25 on page 27

5.

Unless the filter is mounted directly at the
compressor inlet, use the provided fittings to
connect the filter to the hose run into the cab at
step 3 on page 27.

a. Implement GPS installation requires a location ahead of the seed tubes (not directly above or aft of seed drop point), and above all

implement components, including folded marker discs. This would require a rigid custom platform structure.
