Setting the Default Printer

Set the printer you use most often as the default printer. To set a specific
printer as your default printer, right-click on the printer icon, and select Set as
Default Printer. A checkmark appears above the icon of the printer selected
as the default.

Sharing Printers on a Network

A shared printer is one that receives input from more than one computer. A
shared printer is also called a network printer. Once you are connected to a
shared printer on the network, you can use it as if it were attached to your
computer.

To share your printer on a network, you must first add a network service to
your computer.

For instructions on installing a network service, see "Networks (LAN,
Wireless, Mobile Broadband)" on page 149. Once your computer is connected
to a network, you can add your printer to that connection.
