Hinge Covers

Removing the Hinge Covers
The hinge covers are not interchangeable; the left one covers the DisplayPort connector and the right one covers the RJ-45 network connector.
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working on Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see
Removing the Bottom of the Base Assembly
).
3.
Remove the M2.5 x 5-mm screw from each hinge cover.
4.
Slide each hinge cover forward and lift to remove it.
Replacing the Hinge Covers
1.
Slide the left hinge cover over the DisplayPort connector and slide the right hinge cover over the RJ-45 network connector.
2.
Replace the M2.5x5-mm screw in each hinge cover.
3.
Replace the bottom of the base assembly (see
Replacing the Bottom of the Base Assembly
).
4.
