Removing the RJ-11 Modem Connector

Follow the procedures in

Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see

3.
Remove the heatsink assembly (see

).
4.
Remove the hinge covers (see

).
5.
Remove the modular drive (see
Removing the Modular Drive
).
6.
Remove the display assembly (see
Removing the Display Assembly (E6400 and M2400)
or
Removing the Display Assembly (E6400 ATG)
).
7.
Remove the LED cover (see

).
8.
Remove the keyboard (see

9.
Remove the right speaker grill (see

10.
Remove the palm rest assembly (

11.
Remove the modem (see

12.
Lift the RJ-11 modem connector out of the base assembly.
Replacing the RJ-11 Modem Connector
1.
Place the RJ-11 modem connector into the base assembly, aligning the guides on the connector sides with the base.
