Installation Instructions

12. Twist the wire together with the license plate wires as shown. Slide the heat

shrink tube over the wires and apply heat using a heat gun (if you do not
have access to a heat gun, a hair dryer can be used instead).

13. Repeat steps 10-12 for the other wires. Your license plate light assembly should

be configured as in the photo below.

14. You may want to use electrical tape to secure the wires to the back of the

license plate bracket as shown.

18. You are now ready to move on to the muffler installation.

19. Slide the V.A.L.E. X-ring over the slip-on tube and use

the 6x14mm socket head cap screws and 6mm split lock

washers (included) to loosely attach the X-Ring to the

muffler canister.

20. Slide the muffler canister clamp over the muffler canister,

and attach to the bike as shown, sliding the TBR slip-on
tube into the stock headpipe. Once you are satisfied with
the fitment and have checked to be sure the canister is
mounted straight and clear from under the seat, fully
tighten the mounting bolt. Check Clearance.

21. Tighten the 4 V.A.L.E. X-ring screws in an x-pattern to

ensure proper fit. Next, tighten the clamp that connects
the TBR slip-on tube to the stock headpipe.

22. Double check your work to ensure everything has been

tightened and is properly installed. Check to be sure turn
signals and license plate lights are all connected and
funtioning properly. Reinstall fairing and seats.

23. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and dirt, as

any oily residue will etch the metal and become somewhat
permanent when the system gets hot. Run the bike and enjoy.
It is normal for some white smoke to appear the first time you
start the bike. This is packing/manufacturing oil from inside the
pipe burning off. Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a
little high temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to
100 miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness.

15. Feed the two turn signal wires through the holes in the

new turn signal mounts (supplied). Remove the rubber
grommets from the stock mounting holes, and install the
turn signals as shown.

16. Using the stock bolt and supplied 6mm flange nut, mount the

license plate bracket to the turn signal mounting bolts. Adjust for
optimum position and tighten the flange nuts.

*Keep in mind the wheel moves up when suspension is

compressed.

17. Attach the turn signals to their original wires. Use the

supplied wire (if needed) and wire locks to attach the plate
light bolts to the OEM plate light wires. Black plate lite bolt
wires go to the black OEM wire and the red plate light bolt
wires go to the OEM yellow wire. Zip tie together with
turn signal wires and route through holes above plate.
